A New Year!

Happy 2015!
The planning & dreaming for whats to come in the new year always makes this such a fun & exciting time! Typically Nate & I go out to eat and for drinks on New Years Eve, but this year we decided it was as good a time as any to go to New York City! It was one of the best decisions we've ever made!

We got into the city around 8 in the morning & decided we were going to do brunch before we waited the gazillion hours until midnight. We walked around & looked at the shops & took our time getting to the restaurant. We ate at a place called Jacobs Pickles & it was delicious! The portion was huge, but perfect since it was the last time we would eat for the day.

After we ate we decided to make our way back to Times Square just to see what the crowd looked like. We went in with no expectations of being close because we didn't want to be let down; just being there was enough for us! But when we got back to Times Square we were right by that stage where all of the performances were taking place & decided we should just stay & begin the wait for midnight!

We were able to see O.A.R, American Authors, Florida Georgia Line & Taylor Swift (my personal reason for wanting to go this year & she was sooo sweet!)! There was music playing, with confetti, balloons & fireworks during the hours leading up to midnight. They also handed out a bunch of free things. We ended up waiting 11 hours (!!!!!!), but it was absolutely worth the wait. It was a once in a lifetime experience that neither of us will forget. :)

Wishing you all the best year yet!
