Overnight Oats

Mmmm. An easy jar of deliciousness. Almost like a dessert for breakfast! It can't get much better than that, am I right???

I've heard A LOT about overnight oats. An abundance of positive things. How easy they are & how damn tasty they are once they hit your mouth hole. So, I finally jumped on the bandwagon & decided to test them out.

They truly are so simple to make. You layer, layer, layer, pour in some sort of dairy whether it be milk or yogurt or a dairy substitute, twist on a lid & boom you have yourself breakfast (or lunch or even, dare I say dinner) for the next day!

This is what I did for our version. I poured 1 cup of oats into a pint size mason jar. Then added a spoonful of peanut butter, sprinkled in some mini chocolate chips (because chocolate anytime of the day is acceptable). Then added a handful of strawberries & blueberries. Finally I poured about a cup of milk over everything until it just covers the filling. Top all that off with a lid & let it sit overnight in the refrigerator.

The next morning we drizzled a wee bit of maple syrup all over those goodies. Gave it all a little stir & then shoveled all of that into our faces! You can obviously add whatever the heck you want to make your own overnight oats & I'm sure whatever you choose it will be soooo good!

Enjoy!

38 Weeks!

How far along: 38 weeks - baby is the size of swiss chard. Really?
Gender: No idea! But Nate thinks it's a girl & I have a slight feeling it's a girl as well.
Weight Gain: Staying steady at 25 pounds
Stretch marks: Not one. Fingers & toes double crossed!
Maternity clothes: Only a couple maternity dresses & have continued to fit in regular clothing so far. Although everything I have worn the last couple of weeks has been a dress.
Sleep: Alright. Unfortunately I've resulted to doing a three point turn just to roll over...
Best moment of the week: The fourth of July & having our families here!
Worst moment of the week: The longgggg lines at the food truck rodeo...
Miss anything: Basically anything a pregnant woman isn't allowed to have.
Movement: Oh yes. They feel like they're in slow motion now since I'm sure this little human is running out of room.
Cravings: Fruit, fruit & more fruit.
Symptoms: Swollen feet that I haven't been able to get rid of.
Belly Button in or out: Out-ish
Queasiness or sickness: None.
Looking forward to: The arts festival we're going to this weekend! :)

Happy, happy Thursday! :)

Friday I'm In Love

Totally blowing my mind that it is already July! I feel like this every summer when July arrives, but probably more so this year since it is baby month! We have family coming in to town for the 4th & have a few fun things planned! :)

We went to our first food truck rodeo of the summer & that deliciousness below is known as "poutine."  It's a Canadian dish of french fries, cheese curds, gravy & topped off with basically whatever the heck you want! I decided on the egg and bacon & Nate got the pulled pork. Holy balls. It was amazing!

A few links to kick off your holiday weekend!

This kids epic stare down.

This sweet dog. Melt my heart into a puddle.

I originally saw the kid version of these & loved them, but then found out they also come in adult sizes! Yes, please.

81 thoughts I had during the GOT finale. Quite literally sums up all my reactions.

I want this & this & these. Damn you Anthropologie.

Mmm. Grilling recipes to cram your pie hole with this holiday weekend.

Happy Fourth of July! Enjoy!
