Friday I'm In Love

I can hardly believe it is already Memorial Day weekend. Time sure is flying by! But we could not be more excited for the sunny, 90 degree weather coming our way this weekend! We're going to pack in the good outdoors & sprinkle a healthy portion of s'mores in there.

It's also hard to believe that one year ago this weekend we moved to Rochester! Craziness. We definitely learned we are warm weather fans & water lovers over the course of this year. I also realized that palm tree has quite a few less "palms"...

Here are a few links below to kick off your holiday weekend!

The Beauty & the Beast teaser trailer

I will be making this salad over the weekend with a couple tweaks... maybe some feta cheese crumbled in.

Everyone & their mother has probably already seen this, but I had to share it here anyway! It's just too funny.

Aaron Rodgers brother is on the Bachelorette. He's my favorite so far, but time will tell...

51 things to bring to your Memorial Day BBQ. The brownie skewers looks delicious.

I can't even do this. We're (I'm) determined to teach our kid to swim by one. Two at the latest...

Who would have ever known. Unless you're Swedish.

Jimmy & Adam serenade the troops.

Happy Memorial Day weekend! :)

Friday I'm in Love

Hello, FRIIIIIIDAAYYY!

Some fun links below to get your weekend started off right!

The past couple of years we have created a "Summer Bucket List" for ourselves & last years was a complete success! I've been on the hunt for simple, fun things for us to do before the baby arrives as well as after. I found this article that has some really fun ideas whether you have children or not.

Brooklyn Decker's house. I have some extra love for the neon sign in her home office. :)

Steak salad with creamy horseradish dressing. I looovvee horseradish. The other day a group of extra sweet colleagues of Nate's threw him a baby shower & one of the ladies brought this exact salad, so naturally I had to track it down. The only difference... she added baby potatoes which I would highly recommend!

Things you can make in a blender other than smoothies. Note to self: I really need a blender.

Amazing makeup transformations.

The stories from Memorial Sloan Kettering break my heart. :( Doctors, nurses & families sacrifice so much.

10 best cities to travel with your furry friend(s).

Kick yo' feet up this weekend.

Our Weekend & Baby Books

The beginning to a fresh week & the end to an insanely productive weekend!

We started AND finished the nursery! Everything was painted, put together & arranged in place. We just need to get all of the details, like a mattress, sheets & all that finery, but we are waiting until after our baby shower to do all of that. But even though none of those things are in place, we are seriously in love with the room! It is soooo perfect in our eyes & we each wander over and just marvel at it. The dog has officially claimed the room as his & we're seriously thinking of joining him. :)

And now that the tough aspects of the nursery are out of the way, we've turned our attention to the books we will fill it with. We have a few already, but there are just so many wonderful children's books out there that we can't help but add more to our collection. We're about to start reading to the baby more regularly & although it's fun to read books we love & remember, we're on the hunt for a couple new ones to fall in love with! I've found a few that have sparked my interest & I thought I would share! :)

I have also been eyeing the Babylit books & they look pretty great. They sound perfect for older children who are learning their colors & counting.

Happy Tuesday!
